Agudath Israel Statement on Dover Decision
Quick and to the point:
The judge determined that the “Intelligent Designer behind “Intelligent Design is G-d. In this respect, he is right. If our Constitution, however, is to be understood as forbidding any mention in public schools of even the possibility that the universe was brought into being by the Creator, that should deeply trouble all Americans.Rabbi David Zwiebel

What a crock.
The judge determined that the notion of a divine designer may not be taught as a scientific subject in public schools. The record suggests that the judge had nothing to say about the validity of the notion of there being a Creator, only that the existence of one cannot be proven in a repeatabe fashion.
From his statement, it’s clear the good rabbi should vastly curb his time spent watching the 700 Club. His notion of religious victimhood appears to ape the Save Christmas crowd, with God wearing the red cap.
Public school students wishing to learn about God in history or literature classes would probably find extensive mentions of the Creator on the relevant library shelves. Stress on Relevant.

I wonder when Rabbi David Zwiebel last visited a public school. I wonder whether he feels disappointed every year when propositions to hand out vouchers for private schools never pass. I wonder whether he realizes that historically, the wise ones sit silently and just let the goyim fight these ones out. I wonder.
